22 KRF-V6400D/KRF-V5450D Setup The speaker settings can be completed by simply selecting the room type and listening position. The audio will be corrected automatically according t o the characteristics of the speaker system in use. If more detailed speaker settings are required , use the procedure in <Speaker setup (Detailed Setup)> £ .

24 KRF-V6400D/KRF-V5450D Setup Speaker setup (Detailed Setup) • Reference f or speaker size "LRG"(Large) : A speaker with a sufficient bass reproduction capability (a speaker with a large woofer or a lar ge cabinet size). "NML "(Nor mal) : A speaker with a lower bass reproduction capability than the "LRG" speakers (the bass frequencies will be output from the speakers set to "LRG" and the subwoofer).

Radio stations can be classified into RDS (Radio Data System) stations and other stations. T o listen to or store RDS stations in the preset memory see <Using RDS (Radio Data System)> › .
34 KRF-V6400D/KRF-V5450D List ening t o radio broad casts Using RDS (R adio Da ta S ystem) RDS is a system that transmits useful information (in the f orm of digital data) for F M broadcasts along with the broadcast signal. T uners and receivers desig ned for RDS reception can extract the information from the br oadcast signal for use with various functions, such as automatic display of the station name.

Midnight mode compresses the dynamic range of previously specified heavy sound passage of the Dolby Digital and D TS mode sound track (like scenes with sudden increases in volume) to minimiz e the difference in volume between the scenes with heavy sound passage and scenes with normal sound passage.
