9 Section 3 - OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS 2.1 PRE-STA RT CHECK LIST Make the following chec ks and perf orm the service required bef ore each start-up. 2.1.1. Check tires and add or release air as needed to bring press ure to 12 psi in drive tires . Pressure in front dec k caster wheels should be 25 psi.

13 Section 4 - MA INTENA NCE 3.1 INTRODUCT ION To retain the quality of the SN APPER mower, use genuine SNAPPER replacem ent parts only. Contact a local SNAPPER dealer for parts and service ass istance. For the cor rect part or inf ormation for a particular SNAPPER mo w er, always mention the m odel and serial num ber.

R em oval of f oot rest will allow acc ess to deck belt. FIGURE 3.3 2. Check Belt T ension The idler and s pring provide proper belt tension and require no adjus tment.

20 Section 5 - A DJUSTMENTS & REPA IR WA RNING Before at tempting any adjustments, main tenance, service, or repairs, st op engine and blade, always remove key from ignition sw itch, remove spark p lug wire( s) and secure wi re(s) away from spark p lug(s).
