6 – English I NTRODUCTION Thank you… Thank you for choosing the Bose ® Solo TV sound system for your home. This stylis h, unobtrusive speaker system is designed to fit under televisions with scr e ens up to 32 inches. It delivers superb acoustic per f ormance tha t will greatly enhance your TV viewing experience.
English – 7 S YSTEM S ETUP System placement The Bose ® Solo TV sound system is designed to be placed under your TV . TV size limit The Bose Solo system is designed for TVs that weigh no mor e than 40 lb (18 kg) and have bases no wider than 20" (508 mm) and no deeper than 10¼" (260 mm).
8 – English S YSTEM S ETUP Setting up the system Setting up this system is very simple. It r equ ires only one audio connection to your TV and one AC power connection. 1. Set your TV aside but keep it close by . It is a good idea to tur n it so you have access to the connection panel.
English – 9 S YSTEM S ETUP 3. Connect one of the provided audio cables t o your TV . Most TVs today have the thre e types of audio outputs shown below . For the best audio performance, al ways use the highest qua lity output available; optical being th e first choice, coaxial the second, and anal og the third.
10 – English S YSTEM S ETUP 4. Plug the other end of the chosen audio cable into the corresponding audio input connector on the sound system. If you wish, you ca n slide the cable into the built-in cable clip. 5. Plug one end of the included power cord into the AC input connector .
English – 11 S YSTEM S ETUP 6. Place your TV on the sound system, making sure the TV base is centered and does not hang over any edge of the system. CAUTION: If your TV comes with an anti-tip device, install it according to the manufac- turer’ s instructions and adjust the tether as instr ucted after placing the TV on top of the system.
12 – English O PERATION Remote contr ol The Solo TV sound system is easily operated using the small r emote contr ol. Just aim the remote at the fr ont of the syst em and press the butt ons.
